Awarded 1st place at the 16th National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards for my on-the-ground reporting in Brooklyn, covering the aftermath of a tragic shooting involving a Law & Order crew member. The judges praised the piece for its superb “sense of place” and detailed immersion into the neighborhood.
